Dean Gaffney plans to get the 'EastEnders' bosses "drunk" in a bid to return to the soap full-time.
The 37-year-old actor played Robbie Jackson on the BBC One soap for 10 years but was axed in 2003 for his wild lifestyle.
However, he is now back on set for seven episodes, but wants Robbie - who has been in India for 12 years - to come back to Walford for good.
Dean said: "I'm signed up for seven episodes but I might try and get the bosses drunk and get them to agree to be a longer stint.
"It would be good to know more about Robbie's time in India. The cast have told me it's like I never left - I am a whirlwind of energy."
Robbie's partner-in-crime on 'EastEnders' was his pet dog Wellard, who spent 14 years on the show after being found wandering the streets, and Dean has revealed show bosses are in talks over whether his character will be as strong without his beloved mutt, who was put down in 2008.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the former 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' contestant said: "They are saying you can't have Robbie without Wellard. Who knows what will happen."
