Danny Dyer wants a 20 year stint for his role of Mick Carter in Eastenders.
The 36-year-old actor is keen to emulate soap stalwart Adam Woodyatt's portrayal of hapless Ian Beale - who has been strutting his stuff in Albert Square since 1985 - when he makes his long-awaited debut on the BBC One special Christmas day episode tomorrow.
He said: "I want to do an Ian Beale, that's me done. I want to do a 20-stretch."
Danny - famed for playing many hardman roles throughout his film career - will turn up in Walford as Mick Carter, the new landlord of the Queen Vic pub, and he admitted filming the soap has left him "shattered".
When asked by Jimmy Carr how filming was going on 'EastEnders' when he appeared on Channel 4's 'The Big Fat Quiz of the Year' -- which will be broadcast on Boxing Day (26.12.13) -- he replied: "I'm f***ed to be honest. F***ing shattered."
Mick will arrive in Albert Square alongside his family, wife Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), son Johnny Carter (Sam Strike) and daughter Nancy Carter (Maddy Hill).
