Bobby Beale confessed to killing his half sister Lucy in dramatic EastEnders' scenes which aired on Monday (23.05.16) night.
Fans of the BBC One soap were left on the edge of their seats as the youngster, who is the son of chip shop owner Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and is played by Eliot Carrington, blurted out his confession in the middle of the Queen Vic pub in front of shocked friends and family, after he whacked his step mother Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) over the head with a hockey stick.
As she lay concussed on the floor, Bobby shouted: "Dad, I killed mum, just like I killed Lucy."
Bobby smashed Lucy - played by Hetti Bywater - over the head with her jewellery box when he was just 11 years old, in a shocking storyline that aired in February 2015.
Residents on the square were left wondering who the killer was after Ben Mitchell was arrested for Lucy's murder, but Max Branning was eventually convicted.
In last night's episode, Ben - played by Charlie Jones - looked on in disbelief at the confession.
He said: "They tried to pin this on me and the whole time they were covering!"
And pub landlord Mick Carter - played by Danny Dyer - tried to throw cold water over the news that was quickly spreading through the square.
He told sisters Kim and Denise Fox, played by Tameka Epson and Diane Parish: "Let's just wait until we know all the facts."
But Kim wasn't convinced and insisted: "I heard it with my own ears."
Whilst Denise added: "Don't be silly, he's only a kid."
Ian then attempted to escape Walford with Bobby in tow but was stopped by Mick, who wouldn't let him leave the square.
Justice is now on the cards for Bobby as show bosses revealed he is set to be "seriously" reprimanded for his actions.
A BBC spokesperson told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Viewers will soon see Bobby arrested by police and he and his family will be facing up to his behaviour in the most serious of ways."'
'EastEnders' airs tonight (24.05.16) on BBC One at 7.30pm.
