Eastenders’ biggest storyline this year is finally exposed to the unsuspecting residents of Albert Square after Stacey and Max’s affair is caught on DVD and left under the Christmas tree. Also facing a unhappy new year are Honey and Billy after they are evicted from their home and forced to seek refuge on the living room floor of The Vic, much to everyones annoyance.Never one to bring Christmas cheer, Eastenders throws a death into the mix as Kevin is killed in one of Phil’s ‘dodgy motors’ when he and Shirley go joyriding. One thing is for sure; if it;’s a happy Christmas you’re after, steer well clear of East London!A year after it all began, Stacey and Max’s affair comes to light this week after a dvd with footage of Stacey and max discussing their affiar is left under the Christmas Tree. As the happy Branning household settles down to watch what they think is Stacey and Max’s wedding video, it doon becomes clear that this is a home video of a very different kind. With the sordid affair finally out in the open, you can bet that there won’t be much Christmas cheer coming from Tanya and Bradley!

We wave goodbye to Kevin when he gets caught up in one of Phils death traps, quite literally. After selling Yolande a ‘dodgy motor’ Phil tells Kevin they need to get it back and crushed before the police find out.

After fooling Yolande into handing the car over for ‘repairs’ Kevin and Shirley head for the breakers yard, only to find it’s shut, so they do the sensible thing and go joyriding instead which ends up with Kevin crashing the car and shirley having to watch him die.

This is not good news for young Darren who knows just what Phil was up to and is confused as to whether of not he should tell the police.

Another one of the Mitchell clan; jobless Billy gets caught with his hand in the charity collection fund and manages to get himself and his dear wife Honey evicted. As Peggy approaches, the reality of their situation hits her and she offers to put them up at The Vic again. But Honey's firm – she's not going anywhere without Billy. All Peggy wants is an apology from Billy but he's not budging.

Honey sits defeated on their belongings but Billy assures her that the council said they would call back before 5pm. However, Billy's mobile phone runs out of battery. Phil soon turns up and tells them both that they can stay at The Vic – but Billy puts up a fight until he breaks down in Honey's arms, sobbing.

On a happier note, Jack and Ronnie finally kiss under the mistletoe in The Vic however, when Jack tries to take things further after luring Ronnie to the club under the pretense that she had to work she storms out after seeing the place filled with romantic candlelight
