Pat Phelan’s world could be about to come crashing down on Coronation Street, if words from the woman who plays his daughter on the small screen are anything to go by.
Speaking with Lorraine Kelly, Corrie star Nicola Thorp teased of Pat Phelan’s future: “It’s got to come out [about his criminal past] at some point. He’s got two choices; he can either own up to what he’s done and hope she [his daughter] loves him for who he is, or does he do everything he can to hide it?
“All of that will be unfolding over the autumn – it’s a really exciting time. If you don’t already watch Corrie then now is the time to start! I can’t reveal too much but what is going to happen over the next few months is going to make soap history!”
The past hinted at of course has seen Pat not only try to con half of the residents in Weatherfield, but murder his enemies when his evil plans were about to be exposed. Knowing that the end could be in sight for the Corrie villain is extremely exciting; we can’t wait to see how soap history is made this autumn.
Coronation Street continues throughout the week on ITV, with Lorraine airing weekdays on ITV at 8.30am.
