Paddy McGuinness' 'Coronation Street' character will clash with Tyrone Dobbs and Kirk Sutherland.
The 'Take Me Out' host is set to join the ITV soap as survival expert Dougie Ryan for six episodes when Tyrone (Alan Halsall) and Kirk (Andrew Whyment) go on a camping trip with their other halves but he's now revealed their characters will not see eye to eye.
He said: "Tyrone's trying to build a tent so Dougie takes over, Tyrone tries to build a fire and Dougie takes over that so what slowly happens is the girls start fancying Dougie and think he's fantastic, but the lads hate him.
"He's a really, really funny character.
"'Coronation Street' has always had a rich vein of comedy running through it."
The 41-year-old comedian admitted shooting the scenes reminded him of his days as a boy scout, but that he decided against seeking survival advice from the likes of Bear Grylls and Ray Mears for the role.
Paddy told Mirror TV: "I don't think they have a phone those lads. I think it's just a rock with a piece of string attached to it.
"I channelled my inner scout.
"The one thing I did research was lighting a fire with a piece of flint because I didn't want one of these survivalist people giving it, 'Dear Points of View, I was horrified to find you didn't strike the flint properly.'
"So I did a bit of research there."
