Jack P. Shepherd has hinted he could be leaving 'Coronation Street'.
The 27-year-old actor has played David Platt on the ITV soap for 15 years but suggested his time may be up while discussing the upcoming live episode.
He said: "My contract is up in September, after the live..."
Asked if he was planning to renegotiate a longer contract, he is reported by Mirror TV to have seemed unsure, simply adding: "I think so."
Jack revealed that the Platt family are "at rock bottom" as they attempt to escape the wrath of drug dealer Callum Logan (Sean Ward), who is the biological father of David's step-son Max.
He also claimed David would be just as "capable of murder" as Callum if his family's lives are threatened.
Paula Lane - who plays Kylie Platt - admitted she thinks Callum is simply using Max as an excuse to terrorize the family.
She said: "It's just a game to him, he'll do anything, I don't think he even wants Max he's just out there as a toy to him."
Meanwhile, Jack confessed he's not worried about making any mistakes during the live episode as it would give viewers a good laugh.
He told The Sun newspaper: "The problem is that when all the Platts are together all we do is laugh.
"So when it comes to the live episode we are going to have to really rehearse and it and get every joke out of our system beforehand so we don't laugh on the night."
