Coronation Street-Claire is still worried about Chesney
Claires (Julia Haworth) worry about Chesney (Sam Aston) reaches a peak when she goes round to No.5 with some home made food and sees for herself the squalor he and Kirk (Andrew Whyment) are living in. When she spots the mouse trap and notices Chesney has a burn on his arm from doing the ironing - she demands a quiet word with Kirk and tells him it's not a fit environment for a child - he needs proper care. Kirk declines Claire's offer of help and promises to sort everything out. He does set about tidying up but when he gets a call asking him to attend a job interview he has to abandon his chores. Later, as Chesney's in the house alone, a social worker arrives to inspect the house and to get to the bottom of who is actually taking care of him. Chesney tries to convince the social worker that he's coping fine but it's clear he's being neglected. Chesney's horrified to discover that he's being taken into care for his own safety and reluctantly leaves the street in a police car as Schmiecal is taken by the RSPCA. Meanwhile, Kirk has been buying cleaning products on his way home and stopped into the pub for a drink. When he finally returns to No.5 - he's devastated to find that Chesney has been taken. Who has reported Chesney and Kirk? Will he be forced to leave No. 5 for good? David (Jack P Shepherd) is suspicious as to why Gail (Helen Worth) and Audrey (Sue Nicholls) are being so nice to him and when he sees Gail and Tina (Michelle Keegan) talking in the kitchen he creeps closer curious to hear what theyre saying, Will he discover their secret? Elsewhere, Jason (Ryan Thomas) is upset when Gail tells him Sarah doesn't want to speak to him. And Kelly (Tupele Dorgu) steals a load of rejected garments from the factory. Also, Liam (Rob James-Collier) jokes to Tony (Gray O'Brien) that hes so involved in Underworld, he may as well buy him out. Is he serious about selling? Meanwhile, Tony reveals his plans to invest in the new flats being built next to Roy's Rolls.
