It’s the day of Tina’s (Michelle Keegan) abortion and as she waits in the clinic with Gail (Helen Worth) her emotions are all over the place and she feels terrible about keeping David (Jack P Shepherd) in the dark about everything. As she leaves the clinic later that day she's both physically and emotionally exhausted and texts a gutted David to tell him she won’t be able to make the concert tonight as she’s ill. David's furious and when he tells Gail he's going to see her she panics that Tina's going to tell him the truth. However, when she opens the door to a furious David, she’s annoyed that he’s turned up. David’s convinced she’s trying to fob him off and tells her they’re over. Tina’s deeply hurt and when David arrives back home and tells Gail he’s ended things – she feels terrible. How will he feel if he discovers the real reason she stood him up? Tony (Gray O'Brien) stuns Liam (Rob James-Collier) when he presents him with the documentation for buying the factory that he’s had drawn up. As Liam and Maria (Samia Smith) ponder the prospect of a life away from the factory, Liam admits he’d miss the place but knows Maria’s not comfortable with him working with Carla (Alison King). Maria insists she trusts him and doesn’t want him to sell the factory on her account. However, when Carla finds out via Liam that Tony’s put an offer in for his share of the factory she’s furious. Becky (Katherine Kelly) is convinced Norris (Malcolm Hebden) was the one who grassed up Kirk (Andrew Whyment) and Chesney (Sam Aston) and marches into the pub to have it out with him. As Claire (Julia Haworth) witnesses the row she feels terrible and shocks everyone when she reveal she called social services but had no idea they’d take Chesney away.Meanwhile, Liam tells Carla about Lauren’s bra and they realise they have a thief on their staff and everyone points the finger at Kelly (Tupele Dorgu).
