Audrey (Sue Nicholls) bites the bullet and asks David (Jack P Shepherd) to tell her the truth did he push Gail down the stairs? David manages to front it out and when Audrey states that hed have a motive if hed heard about Tinas abortion, David feigns shock. Audrey buys his performance but Bill (Peter Armitage) doesn't buy it. As they leave, Bill warns a worried David that he's on to him and, shaken by their suspicions, David asks Tina (Michelle Keegan) to lie that she was with him when Gail fell. Tinas horrified when he confesses that hes responsible for her fall and despite his claim it was an accident, Tina doesn't want to get involved in his lies. As he tries to convince Tina, Bill has made a secret phone call to the police and he's desperate when they arrive to question him at the station. Will Tina come through for him? Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) is due back from holiday and Kirk (Andrew Whyment) is dreading having to tell her about Chesney (Sam Aston) being in foster care. When Fiz arrives back on the street she heads straight to No 5 with a present for Chesney and realises somethings up as soon as she sees how tidy the house. Shes furious as Kirk and Roy (David Neilson) reveal what happened and resolves to bring her brother home. Elsewhere, Michelle (Kym Ryder) puts on a brave face as she says goodbye to Ryan (Ben Thompson) whos leaving with Nick (Robert Horwell). Steve (Simon Gregson) tries to cheer her up with some flowers and some money for a pampering day at the spa, but she's still worried shes alienated Alex and is about to lose Ryan. After looking at the books and seeing how theyre only just breaking even Leanne's (Jane Danson) buyer for the restaurant withdraws his initial offer. How will Leanne solve her financial problems? Becky (Katherine Kelly) has started coming into work early - not wanting to spend time at her own grotty flat. Will Roy open his home to a lonely Becky?
