It's the morning of Liam (Rob James-Collier) and Maria's (Samia Smith) wedding day and after witnessing Carla (Alison King) seductively kissing her fiance on the doorstep of their house, she's in turmoil over whether to go ahead with the wedding. Meanwhile, Carla is still on a mission to win Liam but hasn’t heard from him and unsure about whether or nor she’s changed his mind about going ahead with it, she dresses to kill in a scarlett dress – determined to outdo the bride. She’s in a dangerous mood and when Tony (Gray O'Brien) arrives to pick her up she vents her frustration and finishes with him. Back at Audrey's (Sue Nicholls), Maria has been subdued all morning and finally breaks down and confesses her fears about Liam and Carla to a concerned Fiz (Jennie McAlpine). At the venue, the guests are starting to arrive and as time passes Liam starts to get worried that Maria is more than fashionably late and still hasn’t arrived. Audrey finally manages to reassure Maria that Liam is in love with her and can’t wait to get married and appeased she goes to get ready. As the car pulls up to the hotel, Maria refuses to get out of the car, saying she can't go through with the wedding. Kirk rushes in to tell Liam that he’s needed outside and as everyone realises all's not well Carla’s hopeful she might prevail. Liam’s taken aback when he sees how beautiful Maria looks but when she breaks down in tears and tells him she can’t marry him, he’s stunned. Will the wedding go ahead?Michelle (Kym Ryder) is proud of Ryan (Ben Thompson) as he takes on his duties as Best Man and apologises to him for the recent disruptions, insisting that he’ll always come first. Steve (Simon Gregson) and Ryan are relieved that things seem to be going back to normal, but can Michelle be sure that things will stay that way?
