Maria (Samia Smith) is panicking about Liam (Rob James Collier) and Carla (Alison King) as Audrey (Sue Nicholls) struggles to reassure her that therell be a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why Liam is showering in Carlas room. Liam's furious when he discovers Carla's been trying to wind up Maria but cant help but feel attracted to his widowed sister in law. After a successful meeting, Liam ponders catching a train home but Carla tempts him to stay for another drink as they laugh about pretending to be a married couple to their clients. Theyre both clearly enjoying the thrill of being with each other and things get very steamy when Carla seductively suggests he come to bed with her. However, the moments broken when Tony (Gray O'Brien) arrives unexpectedly and as Liam leaves, Carla hides her disappointment. Theyre still clearly attracted to each other - where would the night have taken them if Tony hadnt arrived and diffused the sexual tension? After realising that Vera would have wanted him there, Jack (William Tarmey) finds the strenghth to call Terry. There's no answer so he leaves the details of the funeral on the answerphone. Will Terry show up? Meanwhile, Audrey (Sue Nicholls) has wasted no time telling everyone in the Rovers what David (Jack P Shepherd) and Tina (Michelle Keegan) are getting up to at home and when Jason (Ryan Thomas) and then Jerry (Michael Starke) joke about his new found love life, its clear that David's enjoying his new found status as the Street's casanova. Elsewhere, Steve (Simon Gregson) fills Liz (Beverley Callard) and Vernon (Ian Reddington) in on the situation with Ryan (Ben Thompson) and Michelle (Kym Ryder). Michelle is relieved when Ryan tells her he doesn't want to see Nick and Wendy but tells him she'll have to wait and see whether Alex wants to see her before she can make any promises not to have any contact with him. Will Michelle be able to turn her back on Alex so easily?
