It's the day before the wedding and as everyone leaves for the rehearsal, David’s (Jack P Shepherd) feeling increasingly isolated, but is confident that when Martin arrives he'll sort everything out and see to it that David goes to the wedding. However, when everyone arrives back on the street in high spirits, Gail (Helen Worth) breaks the news to a distraught David that his dad won't be attending and despite him practically begging, she fights her urge to sympathise and tells him its best if he stays away. David's deeply hurt at his exclusion and after letting himself into the house, he sits down and starts writing a letter. Later, Sarah (Tina O'Brien) and Maria (Samia Smith) arrive back and are horrified to discover that David has left a suicide note. How will Sarah react? Will David go through with it? Meanwhile, as everyone discusses the sex of Violet's (Jenny Platt) baby in the pub, Jamie’s (Rupert Hill) finding it increasingly awkward having to lie to Violet and berates Sean (Antony Cotton) for putting him in such a difficult position. Will they be able to keep the secret for the next six months? Liam (Rob James-Collier) is trying to pretend to Maria (Samia Smith) that he's delighted about his new puppy but after they're not allowed into Roy's Rolls or the kebab shop and Molly (Vicky Binns) arrives at the factory to complain about the dog’s howling, how long can Liam keep up the facade?Elsewhere, Paul (Tom Hudson) offers Leanne (Jane Danson) £10,000 towards the restaurant. And Michelle's (Kym Ryder) losing her patience with Steve (Simon Gregson) who is avoiding asking Liz (Beverley Callard) and Vernon (Ian Reddington) to move out!
