Gail's (Heken Worth) sick with worry about David (Jack P Shepherd) and when the police arrive she braces herself for bad news. However, she's shocked when she learns that David's been picked up by the police in town who haven't brought him home because he's alleging that Gail assaulted him before throwing him out of the house! Gail's devastated as the police question her and inform her that they'll be notifying social services. Later, the police return with David sporting a black eye and cuts and bruises. The police have dropped the charges against Gail and warned David about wasting police time. Gail cant understand why he would be so spiteful as to try and get her arrested, but David tells her that she is the one who hates him! Will Gail ever get through to her troubled son?Sean's (Antony Cotton) over the moon that Marcus has contacted him and he's desperate to tell the world about the baby, but Violet's (Jenny Platt) not sure how people will take their news. Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is the first to be told and after initially being lost for words, she's happy that they're happy. That lunch time, Sean gathers the factory girls in the Rovers and reveals that he and Violet are having a baby. The girls are stunned and are curious to know the details but Sean's more interested in discussing the new man in his life!! Ashley (Steven Arnold) calls to see Claire (Julia Haworth), and is awkward when he feels like a stranger in his own home. As they take the boys for a walk in the park they bump into Emily (Eileen Derbyshire), who admires the seemingly happy family scene. However, Claire wastes no time in correcting her that their marriage is over, and that Ashleys the childrens father and nothing more. Ashleys shocked at her brutal honesty, as an awkward Emily offers her condolences and as they arrive home, Ashley tells Claire he hasnt given up on their marriage, but she closes the door on him once again. Will Claire ever give Ashley a chance to make ammends?Elsewhere, Tyrone (Alan Halsall) puts off flat hunting until he finds out what Paul's (Tom hudson)up to, but Kirk (Andrew Whyment) warns him it's not worth the risk of losing Molly (Vicky Binns). Will Tyrone listen to Kirk's surprisingly wise words?
