Ted Robbins has teased his 'Coronation Street' character Brendan Finch could be set to break Mary Taylor's heart.

The former 'Phoenix Nights' actor's character arrives in Weatherfield tonight (29.10.15) and soon sets his sights on Mary (Patti Clare) but he's revealed his character is ladies man who already has a wife and numerous girlfriends.
Ted shared: "He's a bit of a lad even though he's getting on in years. He wears blue suede shoes and dodgy aftershave he gets off the market and he edits this magazine which takes him round the whole of the north of England. It means he has lady friends in every town and I think he might take his wedding ring off. He's a bit of a lad."
And although the 60-year-old star thinks Brendan has real feelings for Mary, if he is hiding a secret wife it's unlikely the love affair will run smoothly.
Ted told ITV's 'This Morning': "I think it develops because I actually find myself falling for Mary quite a bit. And I think that's the way it's sort of been developing."
Robbins' new role comes after he suffered a near-fatal heart attack on stage during the 'Phoenix Nights Live' tour just 10 months ago.
