Everyone’s surprised by Sarah’s (Tina O'Brien) calmer attitude towards David (Jack P Shepherd) and she disguises her motives well. However, Sarah puts the next step of her sabotage plan into action when she procures some ecstasy from a guy who's enjoying a Christmas do at the Italian. As she arrives home, David comes back from Darryl’s (Jonathan Dixon) and seems fairly downbeat, Gail (Helen Worth) dismisses Sarah's suggestion that maybe he’s been taking drugs, but the possibility is clearly playing on her mind. Sarah’s confident that her revenge is imminent, but will she be able to pull it off?Michelle (Kym Ryder) is angry when Nick (Robert Horwell) turns up in the Rovers, but wanting to avoid a scene, she ushers him over to a table. As Michelle tells him his story is absurd and hospitals don't just mix up babies, Nick stuns her when he says the only way to be sure is to have a DNA test. He reveals that it's broken their family apart - he and his wife have split up over this and even if she doesn’t take the test, she'll never stop wondering. Michelle’s adamant that they're not taking any tests and tells Steve (Simon Gregson) that Ryan (Ben Thompson) will always be her son and a test won’t change that…or will it? Jim (Charles Lawson) arrives at the pub to collect Amy (Amber Chadwick) and Vernon’s (Ian Reddington) upset when he notices Liz (Beverley Callard) and Jim getting on - they’re not flirting but he's reminded him of their shared past. Later, Vernon’s mortified when Jim reveals that he read his wedding vows when he was waiting for Amy in the pub and is even more irked when Jim tells him that he knows Liz will love them. Is Vernon right to be so paranoid or will Liz and Jim’s shared history stay in the past?Elsewhere, Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) is upset when Chesney (Sam Aston) rejects her invitation to Christmas dinner when he realises that Kirk (Andrew Whyment) isn’t invited and will be on his own. Meanwhile, Rosie (Helen Flanagan) is angry that John (Graeme Hawley) has been ignoring her texts and calls. He urges her to be patient but she’s left frustrated when he leaves her to comfort Fiz about Chesney.
