As news of yesterday's dramatic events spreads round the street, the enormity of what's happened is sinking in for Ashley (Steven Arnold) who's spent a night on the sofa and is being ignored by Claire (Julia Haworth). Meanwhile, Claire's furious when she discovers that Audrey (Sue Nicholls) knew about Ashleys affair and deliberately kept her in the dark about it. Audrey's devastated when Claire coldly asks her to leave and feels overwhelmingly guilty about the whole ordeal. Ashleys determined to fight for his marriage and begs Claire for a response, but she's not ready to speak to him yet and shuts him down before asking him to leave. Is Ashley and Claire's relationship damaged beyond repair? Over at the Morton's, Jerry (Michael Starke) is furious about Kayleigh's (Jessica Barden) drunken antics and grounds her. Later, when David (Jack P Shepherd) spots Darryl (Jonathon Dixon) shooting cans with an air rifle in the garden, he invites him into their garden to get a lesson in shooting. Gail's (Helen Worth) hurt when she arrives home to see David using clay models that he made for her in infants school as targets, but when David insists that he's no longer the same person, she decides not to pussyfoot around him and accuses him of all the other mishaps that have occurred recently. Will Gail finally start being a bit tougher on her son?Meanwhile, Violet (Jenny Platt) has her first craving, but is nervous about the scan and is overjoyed when Sean (Antony Cotton) tells her he has got the afternoon off to come with her. Elsewhere, Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) feels uncomfortable about all the lies she's telling Roy (David Neilson) about the money she's withdrawn for the Private investigator, but Becky (Katherine Kelly) reassures her its for the best. How will Roy react when he discovers Hayley has been sneaking around behind his back?
