The Barlows struggle to find money for Tracy’s court case With Tracy’s (Kate Ford) new solicitor on board, Ken (William Roache) starts to worry about how she’s going to be paid for now they’re not on legal aid. Tracy’s angry as she pulls on their heart strings wondering how much her freedom is worth. Blanche (Maggie Jones) offers some of her own cash but with Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) piling on the pressure, Ken knows this is his problem to sort out and as he goes through his paperwork he realises there’s only one solution.Peter (Chris Gascoigne), meanwhile, finds a pleasing distraction to the Barlows’ problems in Maria (Samia Smith) and wastes no time in launching into some serious flirting with the sexy salon girl. Will she succumb to his advances?Les (Bruce Jones) is still in the doghouse with Chesney (Sam Aston) after Cilla’s departure and attempts to lure him back to the Battersbys’ with the prospect of decorating. But Chesney won’t be swayed and an irate Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) marches round to number 5 to tell Les he needs to buck his ideas up if she’s going to let Chesney return home.Elsewhere, Paul (Sean Gallagher) attempts to tell Carla (Alison King) to stop using the factory staff, but how will he fair? Bill (Peter Armitage) prepares to move in with Audrey (Sue Nicholls) much to the disgust of both their families.
