The Barlows want David (Jack P Shepherd) at the police station as soon as possible after his claims that he saw Tracy kill Charlie in self defence. But Gail (Helen Worth) says she needs to talk to him alone first as Sarah (Tina O’Brien) reminds her he could be up to his old tricks. Gail does her best with David, explaining the questions he’ll have to answer in court, but David’s sticking to his story and Gail’s forced to assure everyone she believes him. As they arrive at the station Gail is still wishing that David is lying so how will he react when faced with the seriousness of his claims?Meanwhile, Tracy’s (Kate Ford) been granted bail and the Barlows are thrilled to have her back on the street. But as Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) excitedly reveals the news about David, Tracy starts to worry as she contemplates what he actually may have seen.Elsewhere, Kelly (Tupele Dorgu) still reckons Liam (Rob James-Collier) fancies her despite last night’s distinct lack of interest. But when he catches Joanne (Zaraah Abrahams) alone at the factory it quickly becomes clear who he’s really interested in and as goes to kiss her, Joanne doesn’t put up much of a fight.Les (Bruce Jones) is determined to win Chesney (Sam Aston) back round and invites him over to the Battersbys’ for lunch. But when he arrives only to overhear Les and Cilla (Wendi Peters) arguing he’s upset at being the cause of another row and gladly goes back to school. Have Les and Cilla blown their chance again? And as Roy (David Neilson) and Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) dig out items for Becky’s (Katherine Kelly) car boot sale they comes across some old comics which Roy realises could be quite valuable. But will he be prepared to part with them?
