Sally (Sally Whittaker) is concerned for Claire (Julia Haworth) and suggests they go for a walk. While away, the police call the Peacocks and ask to speak to Claire. When Ashley (Steven Arnold) tells them she is out he's stunned as the police start to ask him about the time Claire was sectioned. As they imply Claire might have something to do with the fire, loyally he says no. But when Claire arrives back on the street and rushes to her house to see what has happened the police arrest her. Will she be charged?Leanne (Jane Danson) assures Carla (Alison King) that she will be able to come up with £20,000 in six weeks to cover her share of the restaurant. Later Leanne phones the escort agency and puts herself back on their books. Janice (Vicky Entwistle) overhears and can't believe it. Leanne tells her it's only temporary till she gets the restaurant. Carla takes Paul (Sean Gallagher) to lunch to tell him the news but how will he react?Elsewhere, Rita (Barbara Knox) tells Norris (Malcolm Hebden) she'd like to see Doreen (Barbara Young) but that she won't make the first move. Norris find's Doreen's number in Rita's diary and calls her. They meet up and he asks Doreen to take Rita out for a few drinks, but will Doreen want to take up Norris' offer?Derek (David Hounslow) drops a bombshell on Liz (Beverley Callard) that Linda knows, but how much does she know about his affair?
