Following Alina Pop’s (Ruxandra Porojnicu) advances on Coronation Street last week, the next few days will see Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) struggle with making a decision about his future.
When Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) can’t hold her wedding secret any longer, she tells her betrothed that she’s booked them a surprise date in Greece, much to Tyrone’s shock.
Admitting he’s having second thoughts about their relationship, he’s further stunned when both Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) come out of their hiding places, having expected to have something to celebrate. Fiz flees, humiliated.
Later giving Tyrone a pep talk, he tells Fiz that whilst he does have some feelings for Alina, that she means nothing in the grand scheme of things. He promises to make things right with her, claiming that she along with their girls are all he needs in his life.
Still, with the fire of lust burning bright, will it just be a matter of time before he trips up all over again?
Meanwhile, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) continues to struggle to adapt to life as a drug dealer. Hoping that she would be out of the game by now, she puts on a front for Simon Barlow (Alex Bain), who believes that the family are now truly safe.
Forced to wear a nurse uniform for one of her drops, Leanne’s cover is blown when she is approached by a stranger on the street, asking for her help because of a man who has collapsed at the train station.
Later in the week, she faces further turmoil when she has to hide Harvey (Will Mellor) in a bedroom following a visit from Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), but when he spots the dealer’s jacket, he feels his suspicions that she is now seeing another man have been confirmed.
Refusing to help Harvey further, Leanne travels to the police station to hand him in. After confessing her role that she’s played however, she is arrested and begins to wonder if she has made her biggest mistake yet.
Interviewed by the authorities, she keeps Simon’s name out of her mouth so that he won’t also be arrested. The officers then come clean; they’ve been keeping an eye on Harvey for some time and want to put him behind bars, after spotting the pattern he sticks to, of grooming young boys to use as dealers.
Will she join the coppers in nailing the villainous criminal?
Coronation Street continues with double episodes on ITV every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
