Sherlock returns in the New Year, but we've been given a teaser trailer just over a minute to tide us by until then.
In the trailer, Sherlock's confronted by friend Dr. John Watson in a sound bite where he demands: "I don't care how you faked it - I want to know why."
London has changed in the two years that Sherlock's been gone - presumed dead - and in getting himself familiar with the city once more, more twists and turns are incoming than ever before.
An attack is being scheduled on the city of London, and Sherlock's at the helm of the driving force to stop it.
