WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has suffered multiple knee injuries following a live event in Dublin, Ireland this week, which means he will be out of action for six to nine months, and will be forced to vacate the title which he snagged at WrestleMania earlier this year.
Tearing his right ACL, MCL and medial meniscus, the champion will no longer be able to defend the title at Survivor Series against Roman Reigns, and WWE have revealed a tournament will take place to determine a new champion at the event.
Details surrounding that tournament have not yet been finalised, but plans not only for Rollins, but for storylines headed into Survivor Series and beyond have now been thrown into disarray.
Here's the botched move which saw Rollins attempt to throw Kane from the turnbuckle, instead seeing Rollins' own legs buckle beneath him:
WWE comes to Manchester, England for Monday Night Raw on November 9, where Rollins is expected to relinquish his title live.
Survivor Series takes place in Atlanta, Georgia at Philips Arena on November 22, available to watch on WWE Network.
