Announced yesterday (November 9), the nominees for next year's Screen Actors Guild Awards were revealed, with some of television's finest actors going up against one another to battle it out for one of the most prestigious prizes the business has to offer.

Peter Dinklage will go up against John Hamm, Rami Malek, Kevin Spacey and Bob Odenkirk in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series category, whilst Viola Davis, Claire Danes, Maggie Smith, Robin Wright and Julianna Margulies are the females nominated for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series title.

Over in comedy, Modern Family takes on Orange is the New Black, Key & Peele, The Big Bang Theory, Transparent and Veep for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, and some of the show's biggest stars go head-to-head in their respective categories.

Idris Elba stands out amongst the crowd, nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries alongside Ben Kingsley, Ray Liotta, Bill Murray and Mark Rylance.

Nicole Kidman, Queen Latifan, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon and Kristin Wiig are also competing in a close race for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries.
