RuPaul's Drag Race season seven continued last night on Logo with perhaps its most entertaining episode of the season yet. Though viewers had been teased with the return of a former eliminated queen from the season, what they didn't expect was all seven who had been sent home to walk back through the doors and be paired up with those remaining in the competition.
With Kennedy Davenport winning this week's mini challenge 'Orange is the New Drag' - which featured a hilarious guest appearance from Latrice Royale - she got to pair herself and her competitors with the eliminated queen they'd work with in a 'Conjoined Queens' challenge.
Choosing close friend Jasmine Masters for herself, the pairs were as follows:
- Kennedy and Jasmine
- Ginger and Sasha
- Pearl and Trixie
- Fame and Kandy
- Violet and Max
- Katya and Kasha
- Jaidynn and Tempest
Ru went on to tell the queens that the winner of this week's main challenge would bring their partner back into the competition, with the six other eliminated queens returning home.
When all was said and done, Pearl and Trixie put on a hilarious runway performance that secured Trixie's re-emergence into the competition, but this week's episode wasn't over just like that. Of course, one of the remaining queens also had to be sent home.
Miss Fame barely scraped through once more with her predictable runway look alongside Kandy Ho, landing herself in the bottom three for the third week running but managing to escape having to lip sync for her life.
Instead it was Ginger and Sasha versus Jaidynn and Tempest, with the latter sent packing after her third lip sync in as many weeks.
Though some episodes this season of Drag Race have fallen flat, this one was certainly not one to miss. We got more background on queens we thought we'd seen the back of and that's always something to be thankful for. This is a show, as Michelle Visage would say, with heart - it's not just about some drag queens running around putting on makeup and insulting one another.
RuPaul's Drag Race continues next Monday night on Logo.
