Josh Daniel thinks 'The X Factor' comes across as easy on TV but is actually really "tough" on hopefuls.
The 22-year-old singer - who famously made Simon Cowell cry with his rendition of Labrinth's 'Jealous' when he competed on the singing competition last year - has admitted the show is harder than it looks on screen.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "These shows make stars, it's what they're notorious for. It is reality TV, to a lot of the young ones who don't really understand what it's like to be integrated in that kind of industry, it is tough and its very different from what it looks like on TV.
"It was one of those things when I did the performance I shut off a little bit and at the end of the song I kind of opened my eyes and I was back in the room.
"I really got lost in the message that I was trying to put across when I sang that song."
Now, moving on with his career, Josh has just released his cover of 'Jealous' but is excited for his fans to hear his original music in the near future.
He said: "People can hear more of the original stuff the back end of summer. I do want to show people that as much as I can put across an emotional message, I do have a broad writing style... I'm excited for people to learn who I am and hear my different styles of music."
