The 'X Factor' judge has been criticised as he made his debut on the talent show but 'Xtra Factor' host Melvin Odoom thinks he's going to "blow up" when it comes to the live shows.
Melvin told the Daily Star newspaper: "The world is giving him a hard time but he's doing a great job. When it comes to live shows, he's going to blow up. He's naturally a funny person, he hasn't had time to shine yet.
"For both of us it's the first time doing The X Factor and people don't like change. But I'm doing things to the best of my ability and so is Grimmy."
Meanwhile, show boss Simon Cowell recently spoke out to stick up for the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host.
He said: "I did say to Nick beforehand: 'If it all comes on top you know what the score is. You will get good weeks and not so good weeks.' I think he is tough and he gets it. I think he's doing good. Is he being sidelined for Louis [Walsh]? No chance, forget it. He is 100% safe.
"When you do the live shows that is when it really counts. He is fun to work with, and loves being on the show. It just takes a little while for people to get used to new people."
