The BBC Radio 1 DJ is very hands-on with his 'X Factor' contestants and one of the hopefuls in his Boys category, Sean Miley Moore, is thrilled to be working with him.
He said: "Nick has been amazing. He's a very hands-on mentor, which is fabulous.
"We're constantly bouncing ideas off each other for songs, outfits and staging.
"I've been sending him costume ideas. I'm like, 'Do you like this?' and he's like, 'Yes, yes, yes.' It's really collaborative and that's what I wanted."
All of Sean's costumes will include his favourite high-heeled shoes as he doesn't feel as powerful or sexy without them.
He said: "The higher the heels, the closer to God.
"I feel a sense of power and sexiness in them. When I take them off to sleep I'm like, ugh."
The flamboyant star also admits he feels a "crazy responsibility" to young people who admire his confident attitude.
He told OK! magazine: "I'd say I'm really comfortable in my own skin and true to myself.
"I have doubts about myself, as everyone does.
"On social media I have young kids saying, You're so free in your own skin and thank you for being that voice.' It's a crazy responsibility."
