Monica Michael is returning to 'The X Factor'.
The wannabe pop star - who lost out in a place in the final 12 after being passed over by mentor Rita Ora in favour of Louisa Johnson, Kiera Weathers and Lauren Murray - has revealed she will be performing on the live shows after all after being chosen as a Wild Card entrant.
She tweeted: "Hi guys! I know Halloween is upon us but this is not a trick... I AM BACK!!!! #XtraFactor #WildCard (sic)"
And the show's official Twitter account revealed: "We are VERY excited to announce that this year's #XFactor Wild Card IS...@monicamichaeluk! #XtraFactor (sic)"
Show chief Simon Cowell - who previously teased he wanted to bring back the wild card entrant - said the programme "wouldn't be the same without her" and admitted he thought all along she would have been one of the finalists.
He added on 'The Xtra Factor': "There was always going to be a wild card. It's not a given, but we always like that opportunity. Funny enough we all spoke to each other on Monday... it is crazy not to bring one person back".
Monica teased earlier this week that she would be coming back to the competition.
She tweeted: "So much for thinking I was getting a few days off! ;) x (sic)"
