The ex-fishmonger chose '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman' as her sing-off song, but was eliminated despite a strong performance when the judges were split on who to save.
Louis Walsh and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini both saved their respective acts, whilst Simon Cowell wanted to send Stereo Kicks home, but Mel B decided to back the boy group.
When the vote when to deadlock, host Dermot O'Leary revealed that Lola had received the fewest public votes.
Speaking after the verdict, Lola explained: "I tried the best that I could at the end of the day. This experience has been life-changing.
"It's been amazing. And thank you to everyone who voted."
Cheryl praised the "fantastic" Lola, saying: "She's grown and grown throughout the competition. She's special. I love her."
Now Cheryl has just one act left in the competition, 17-year-old Lauren Platt.
Lola's departure follows that of Jack Walton who was voted out of the show on Saturday night after a less-than-impressive rendition of Leona Lewis' 'Bleeding Love'.
