Coldplay and One Direction are reportedly being lined up to perform at the 'X Factor' final.
The show's boss Simon Cowell is reportedly keen to have the two chart-topping groups perform at the culmination of the ITV show at Wembley Arena next month.
A source said: "Coldplay are a huge act, and this will be a key performance. There've collaborated with Beyonce, Noel Gallagher and even Chris's ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow appears on the album. Who knows who they could bring as a surprise guest?
"That topped with an emotional goodbye from the 1D boys as they bid farewell from the stage where they were formed will make for a great show."
The team behind the talent show are also keen to secure 'Hello' hitmaker Adele to partner with one of the contestants after she previously revealed she would have sang with former contestant Ella Henderson in 2012 if she hadn't been pregnant with son Angelo at the time.
The insider added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Adele would be a huge draw for the show and producers are desperate to snare her. She's the biggest star in the world at the moment, and they'd love her to team up with one of the girls or Che.
"It would be a Beyonce-style moment for the contestant and would make great TV. But that's down to Adele, it's her call."
