Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has spoken out to defend her X Factor act, Chloe Jasmine.
Blasting Twitter trolls for hurtful comments they've made about the contestant, she called her "vulnerable" and "misunderstood".
Chloe's been unpopular with some following the outing of a video where she appeared in an audition for the show back in 2006, followed by some risqué pictures of her modelling underwear.
According to the Daily Star, Cheryl said: "Chloe is actually very misunderstood.
"She's actually very, very vulnerable and soft on the inside. It's a bit of a front you see sometimes. I worked with her a lot this week on getting up there [on stage] and enjoying herself.
"She's won her place here and she should stand up there like she deserves it."
Meanwhile Cheryl's also confessed she's now suffered a "wake-up call" when another of her acts - Stephanie Nala - ended up in the bottom three in the first week of live shows.
Speaking on The Xtra Factor Cheryl commented: "We need to do a lot of her work on her, definitely on her self-belief, but also choosing.
"She's got a very delicate voice so you have to choose the correct song for Steph.
"She's one of those artists that's so distinctive [that] if you get it wrong, you really get it wrong.
"It's a good wake-up call for me and her."
