Cheryl Fernandez-Versini wants to mix up the 'X Factor' categories.
The 32-year-old star - who is a judge on the ITV singing competition alongside Rita Ora, Nick Grimshaw and Simon Cowell - has revealed she'd like to mentor one act from each category rather than look after the Boys, Girls, Overs or Groups exclusively.
She told BBC's Newsbeat: "I think it's far more exciting, not just for us as judges but also for the viewers at home. You're never going to have a runaway category, because they're always like, 'Well, the girls are obviously the best'.
"They might be like, 'Ooh, Rita's got the best boy, but Simon's got the best girl, and Nick's got the best group, but Cheryl's got the best over."
And Cheryl might get what she's wished for as show boss Simon has promised that the format is undergoing a revamp.
One change that has already been announced is that the Judges' Houses stage of the competition will see contestants learn their fate on live TV.
'The X Factor' returns to ITV later this year.
