The 32-year-old star has admitted she's dreading the brutal stage of the talent show - where each judge is forced to cut their category down to just six contestants - after being criticised for her choices last year.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the launch of the new series of 'The X Factor' at the Picturehouse Central cinema in London yesterday (26.08.15), Cheryl said: "I officially hate the six chair challenge. [Can't you get rid of it?] No. I've tried, I've tried, but I know what I'm looking at this year because last year was a completely new experience for me. I'd only heard about it, I hadn't experienced it. So to experience it is a real advantage."

The brunette beauty - who is returning as a judge alongside show boss Simon Cowell and new additions Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora - also confessed she's worried her new colleagues won't be able to handle the pressure.

The 'Crazy Stupid Love' singer added: "I do worry a little bit for Nick and Rita. It's intense but if I get the category that I'm hoping for I think I know more so where I'm headed than I did last year. Last year, by the way, I was outnumbered. I had 17 girls, the rest of them had 12 or 13."

The new series of 'The X Factor' starts on Saturday (29.08.15) at 8pm on ITV.
