The X Factor continued its live shows last night (November 4), with the groups going up against the boys and one more act sent home. What many are now talking about however is how the show has a winner from each night go on to compete for a money can’t buy prize, and how it’s looking like the prizes will be split between the same acts every week.

Last week, Grace Davies and Rak-Su were the acts that gained the most votes on their respective nights performing, meaning they competed on the second night to go and see Pink live at Madison Square Gardens, as well as meeting the star backstage for one-to-one advice.

This week, the prize is even bigger for those of the acts who want to take their career moving forward seriously, as they’ll be given the opportunity to record and release a single no matter of their standings in the competition. Rak-Su took the highest vote in last night’s show, and with Grace set to perform tonight when the girls go up against the over 25s, she’s expected to rake in the most votes once more, setting up a rematch against her and the band.

Whilst this twist to the format is a fun and intriguing one, it’s going to be very boring if Grace and Rak-Su go up against each other every single week. It may even turn the public against them, especially if Grace wins this week and every prize moving forward – she is the favourite after all.

With all of that being said, the talent this year is higher than any other without a doubt. There are so many great performers and all it takes is one slip either in a frontrunner’s performance or the public’s voting for somebody else to be given a chance to take home one of the prizes – or even win the entire series.

We’ll be keeping our eye on all of the performances tonight and voting accordingly – don’t forget you get five free votes on the app! Who’s going to be able to record their first single for Syco Music? We’ll find out by the end of the night…

The X Factor continues tonight (November 5) at 7.05pm on ITV.
