Alisha Bennett went head-to-head with girl group Hope Singer Alisha Bennett has become the latest act to be voted off ITV1's talent show The X Factor. The 23-year-old receptionist from London lost out in a "sing-off" performance against girl group. Bennett, had been inspired to join the show after seeing Leona Lewis win last year's series, and was seen as a "class act" by mentor and judge Sharon Osbourne. After the show, she insisted her career was not over yet. "Now I've started, I just want to keep on going," she said adding "I don't want to stop,". "If anything, it has made me stronger. I really want to get somewhere with this. Singing, presenting, face modelling, whatever you want me to do, I'm there. This is not the end of the road for me." Bennett continued: "I went to the producers' office last night and said, 'Give me a job.' I haven't come to this situation to go back to normality."
With the departure of Alisha mentor Sharon Osbourne has lost the final of her three finalists.
As well as Hope, brother-sister duo Same Difference and solo performers Beverley Trotman, Leon Jackson, Niki Evans and Rhydian Roberts all progressed to the next round.
