Despite the television ratings clearly showing Strictly Come Dancing in the lead, the X Factor tour seems to be what people are more interested in going to see according to data collected by online ticket marketplace Seatwave.

There's approximately five times more ticket demand for the X Factor Live tour over Strictly Come Dancing's trip around the UK.

The X Factor tours the UK's major cities during February and March of next year, after Strictly's live tour kicks off in January.

A Seatwave spokesperson said: "Despite getting crushed in the ratings, The X Factor has reached new heights of success in the touring season while Strictly's ticket demand has remained fairly stagnant. Perhaps the return of popular judge and newly-wed Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has something to do with the surge in ticket demand."

The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing both continue this coming weekend on ITV and BBC One.
