will.i.am misses Sir Tom Jones on 'The Voice'.
The Black Eyed Peas star has admitted he feels lost without his former colleague, who was axed from the show in favour of Boy George earlier this year.
He said: "I miss that silver beard.
"I just like Tom. He made me feel safe. I don't know how to explain it ... It's like when there's an elder in the room, that's wise and has experienced everything you could probably imagine.
"I liked being around that level of expertise.
"It's like a level of legitimacy and authenticity that being next to Tom. Yeah. I miss that one. I miss that - I miss his personality."
Although Boy George and Paloma Faith - who took over from Rita Ora - have been drafted in as replacements, will, 40, felt there was a void left by Sir Tom during the recent filming of the auditions stage of the singing competition.
He told The Sunday Times newspaper: "The whole tone of the show has become more dramatic.
"He had this ability to keep everybody in their place. Because you never want to act up around, you know, your elders."
Meanwhile, Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson is also returning as a judge for the upcoming series.
