Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will return to ITV for a new ice skating show.
The ice skating legends, who previously insisted they were going their own separate ways after quitting 'Dancing on Ice' earlier this year, will reunite for a new show which will put ordinary members of the public through their paces on the ice.
The factual series will see the skaters return to their home city of Nottingham, where city officials named an estate in their honour following their Olympic gold medal win in 1984.
Jayne, 56, and Christopher, 55, will attempt to help underprivileged youngsters living on the estate by training them into first class ice skaters.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Torvill and Dean are well aware that there is a section of society that is being left behind.
"These young people think that they have got no future and are struggling. So they want to help them learn a new skill.
"Torvill and Dean want these kids to believe there is a purpose to their lives."
The new show comes just months after the pair announced they would "take a break from each other" and retire from ice skating after making the decision to quit 'Dancing on Ice'.
The ITV celebrity skating show ended after nine series in March.
