Robert Goodwin was fired in last night's second episode of The Apprentice series 10, and he admits he thought he'd got "away with it".
Although he went against Lord Alan Sugar's suggestion of putting himself forward as project manager for the second task, he thought he'd managed to avoid Sugar's pointed finger until the point where he was sent home before a discussion had even been had about the group's failure.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz Robert explained: "I thought it was a little bit unfair to be honest because I wasn't able to justify myself properly.
"Yeah, there was a little bit of me that thought, ooh, he's actually going to send me back to the house straight away because he said, 'Everyone's going to pick on you, so I'm going to make it easy for you'.
"And I thought, ooh brilliant I've got away with it, I'm going to go back to the house now, but no, 'You're gone'. So it was a bit of a shock but, you know, that's Lord Sugar for you - he doesn't take any bulls**t."
Meanwhile, the actual project manager of the task Scott McCulloch was also sent packing after an intense boardroom session, and he claims he still can't get around comments made in episode one.
Referring to task one where he failed to sell enough hotdogs, Scott said: "What I didn't understand was the fact that I was out making money and there were people in the other sub-team that actually hadn't made a single penny yet.
"I was kind of branded as the worst sales person so I didn't understand at all and still don't to this day."
