After starring in Survivor: Blood vs Water alongside his fiancé Colton Cumbie, Caleb Bankston warmed the hearts of viewers and his fellow contestants because of his kind nature and ability to resist getting embroiled in the show's drama.
According to People, the 26-year-old reality star has now passed away after a train he was on derailed on Tuesday, June 24.
Details surrounding the death aren't clear, but the accident took place at his place of work - the Alabama Warrior Railway in Birmingham.
Caleb and Colton were reportedly set to marry this October.
A tweet sent today from Colton's Twitter account reads: "I just wish it was me....", though hundreds of fans rushed to send their condolences and offer prayers.
Aras Baskauskas who also competed in Blood vs Water shared his thoughts on Caleb, saying: "Caleb was an amazing man and friend. One of the sweetest and most sincere humans I've ever come across. I am gutted by his loss. My thoughts and prayers are with his family."
Sabrina Thompson who competed with Caleb's fiancé on Survivor: One World also spoke out about his death: "While playing Survivor with Colton, he would talk about his boyfriend, Caleb, around the clock 24/7.
"Within seconds of meeting Caleb at the finale and Survivor events, it's no wonder why he raved about him. You were instantly drawn to his big smile, warm spirit and Southern charm. May God rest his soul ... gone too soon."
