Ruth Langsford has teased that she and her husband Eamonn Holmes are to compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 56-year-old presenter was quizzed by Phillip Schofield about rumours they are to take part on the BBC One ballroom show this year during the 'Loose Women' preview on 'This Morning' on Tuesday (21.06.16).
Ruth tried to knock back her friend Phillip's gentle question with a straight face but her answer suggested that she and Eamonn, 56, have been contacted by the booking team.
Phillip probed: "We were going to ask Craig Revel Horwood about the the rumours that you and Eamonn would do 'Strictly' ... But seeing as though you are there?"
And Ruth replied: "I'm not allowed to say! You can't say if you've been approached can you."
Philip then asked if she thought she'd be any good and Ruth said she's a good dancer, but admitted Eamonn - who recently underwent a double hip replacement earlier this year - definitely isn't.
She said: "Of course I can dance, but of course Eamonn can't!"
Adding fuel to the fire, judge Craig, 51, stated he believes the husband-and-wife presenting team would be a good addition to the next season of the show.
During an interview that followed Ruth's appearance on the ITV daytime show, he told Phillip and Holly Willoughby: "Well I think Eamonn, because he's had a double hip replacement, I think would actually be very good because my dancing in fact was better after my hip op, it really was because I wasn't in any pain I wasn't limping anymore so I think he'd do rather well and plus he's got a really good attitude and Ruth has as well. And wouldn't it be great to have a husband and wife team on the show."
However, Craig has no idea if Ruth and Eamonn have been signed up because he only discovers what celebrities are competing "about an hour before it is released".
