Ricky Wilson says that it's all for show when he flirts with Rita Ora on The Voice.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman is to be joined by the singer on the panel for the first time, but insists there's no romance between the pair, with on-screen chemistry simply for the cameras.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror he said: "It's television, it would be really boring if there wasn't any of that."
However he did admit his fondness for the singer, who impressed with her confidence and unique sense of humour.
"Rita is great. It's all about team Rita this year. It's great sitting next to her. Well, there's someone between us but I'm near her. She makes me laugh.
"She's so driven for 23, to have achieved all that. And so confident, I wish I was like that at 23."
Rumouirs of sparks flying between the two emerged earlier this month when an audience member present during the series' filming said Ricky and Rita had "hit it off".
"They had a chat in between takes where they were holding on to each other's arms, too. They've clearly hit it off."
Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am complete The Voice mentoring panel, and it comes to screens next year with hosts Emma Willis and Marvin Humes.
