Ricky Rayment refused to watch the 'Geordie Shore' finale last night (23.12.15) to save him from "embarrassment" following his failed engagement with Marnie Simpson.

The former 'The Only Way is Essex' star decided to get an early night rather than watch the last episode of series 11, in which he popped the question to the brunette beauty on camera while she was shooting the show special in Greece.

Ricky's former co-star Mario Falcone saw it as a great opportunity to rub salt in the wound by taking to Twitter and tweeting: "Can't wait to watch #GeordieShore later... Double awkward @RickyRayment #shehesitated (sic)."

Ricky hit back: "You've been waiting so long for that tweet I'm not watching it.. I'm having an early night."

In a bid to wind the hunk up even more, Mario replied: "Don't worry my friend.. I shall record and call you first thing in the morning!! Love you mwahaha X (sic)."

Clearly struggling with the embarrassment, Ricky said: "Kill me before I wake up please."

The couple got engaged in June after just five months of dating but the romance came crashing down four months later when thy split after a series of blazing rows.

However, the 23-year-old reality TV star recently admitted, while there is no chance of a reconciliation between her and her former fiancé in the near future, she would consider getting back together with him in ten years' time.

She told BANG Showbiz: "Maybe in the future, when I'm like 30, which is like ten years' time, maybe."
