Pharrell Williams has been revealed as the new coach for NBC's The Voice.

The artist was previously on the show when Usher was on the panel, acting as an adviser, and is the first coach to be confirmed for the show's seventh run.

"This is going to be so fun" the singer commented through his Twitter account, with current coach Adam Levine adding "Welcome to the circus dude!", seeming to also confirm his spot on season seven.

"I am thrilled to have Pharrell come back to The Voice family, and this time… as a coach. Continuing in The Voice tradition of having the biggest and most current music stars as coaches, Pharrell fits perfectly." said the show's executive producer Mark Burnett.

The other three coaches will be confirmed at a later date. Usher, Shakira, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are currently in the coaching roles.
