Peter Andre didn't want his wife to "jinx" his first 'Strictly Come Dancing' performance.

The 'Behind Closed Doors' hitmaker took to the dancefloor for the first time last weekend, but spouse Emily McDonagh had to watch his routine on television because he didn't want her presence to put him off.
He said: "Ems didn't see any of our dance rehearsals ahead of the first show, because I didn't want to jinx myself. I thought it was better for her not to have any expectations.
"She watched the first show at home with Mills, because I just wanted to get through the first show without any fuss."
Though Emily, who is a doctor, has been advising Peter on what to eat to give him energy for the gruelling rehearsals, he admits he doesn't always listen to her advice.
He wrote in his column for new! magazine: "There was a story that claimed Emily has put me on a high calorie diet to support my intensive training.
"Obviously, being a doctor, she has been advising me on what to eat, but I'm stubborn.
"She looks after me and is very kind, but I still don't always eat what I should."
