Mary Berry turned down 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 80-year-old 'Great British Bake Off' star was approached about taking part in the BBC One reality TV show but immediately said no as she didn't want to make a "terrible fool" of herself due to her lack of coordination on the dance floor.
Mary told Radio Times magazine: "I do enjoy watching it but I wouldn't do it myself. My husband and children would kill me. I have two left feet and would make a terrible fool of myself."
While Mary refuses to leave herself open to embarrassment on 'Strictly', she admitted she has been left red-faced on TV before.
Speaking about an appearance on 'Pointless Celebrities' with her 'GBBO' co-star Paul Hollywood, she said: "He knew everything about music, sport, everything. I knew nothing. But at the end they asked something about horse racing and I gave the name of Red Rum, which was the only horse I knew. And it was correct and we won it, so I did redeem myself."
Meanwhile, Mary has a new TV show to look forward to, BBC Two's 'Mary Berry's Foolproof Cooking', a six-part series which will see her share tips including her "essential foolproof baking tip".
She explained: "The most important thing is to weigh accurately. Also, people often use the wrong-sized tin and get a thin cake."
