'Love Island' pulled in its biggest ever audience over the weekend.
The ITV2 reality show saw a peak of 3.7 million viewers tune in to watch the goings on in the villa on Sunday night (01.07.18), during which Dani Dyer broke down in tears after finding out her boyfriend Jack Fincham's ex Ellie Jones had entered second villa Casa Amor.
The 13.6 per cent share of the overall TV audience was also the most ITV2 have received for any of their shows.
The average 3.3 million viewership was also up a staggering 1.1 million from last year's equivalent episode, as the show continues to go from strength to strength.
These figures are expected to rise further when on-demand watchers are factored into the data.
Spin-off show 'Love Island: Aftersun' has also hit its biggest ever audience, peaking at 2.3 million - a 550,000 increase from last year.
One person who hasn't been missing an episode is Danny Dyer, whose 21-year-old daughter Dani has been starring in the current series.
While he wasn't initially overly keen at her decision to head to the Spanish villa, he has backed his daughter to go all the way and win the series.
He said: "I didn't want her to do it. I'd never seen it before... you fear it as a father.
"It's a nutty thing. It is what it is. It's a game show.
"Fifty grand's at stake - that's a lot of dough. And Dani's gonna win it.
"I can't moan as a father. She hasn't put a foot wrong. Me and my wife are like parents of the year. We are watching it unfold.
"I did struggle at first but as it's gone on, I think what's she's done, is that she's proved you can be a decent girl, with dignity ... and still be loved and adored by young people. She has completely spun it on its head. I have to trust her choices."
