Kym Marsh's daughter is competing this year on The Voice, having auditioned for the show.
The actress spoke out about her anxiety over her daughter's try-out for the BBC One singing competition.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Kym explained: "I was so nervous all day. We were just on eggshells. I couldn't sleep the night before and I couldn't eat - Emilie was nervous."
One of her two children from her previous relationship with Dave Cunliffe, she'll be seen singing for mentors Sir Tom Jones, Ricky Wilson, will.i.am and new addition Rita Ora when the show returns on Saturday, January 10.
Kym goes on to insist that the idea of auditioning was completely her idea.
"This had to be one hundred million percent her choice.
"She couldn't be going into a show like this unless it was.
"If I forced her, it would just come falling down on top of me, but this is all she ever wanted to do."
She also claimed that the format of the show was what attracted her daughter, as she has no interest in "cashing in" on her mother's fame.
"Emilie doesn't like to mention me or my work. She has a different surname from mine too - she loves that.
"If people ever mention me to her she's like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's my mum. Move on'. She's determined to do this by herself.
"And she will - she gets that from me."
