A member of disgraced drag queen act the Kit Kat Dolls is one of this year's Britain's Got Talent auditionees.

Chris Dennis will face the judging panel alone under the name La Voix, seven years after the popular drag group were pulled from the talent competition when lead singer Vanilla Lush was allegedly caught offering sex for sale, while bandmates Alekssandra and Toni were also found to be advertising themselves for hire.

In a bid to disassociate himself with the scandal, Chris will audition under a new name when the show returns this month.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "There is nothing to stop La Voix entering the competition with a new act."

The Kit Kat Dolls won over the British public with their over-the-top performance of Pussycat Dolls hit 'Don't Cha' in 2007, and their efforts landed them a place in the live semi-finals.

However, head judge Simon Cowell was reportedly furious when the family show was brought into disrepute in light of the prostitution scandal and the nine-piece were booted off the show.

La Voix will look to impress Simon and fellow judges David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon when the talent competition returns on ITV on Saturday April 12.
